Desktop Application delivered via the Adobe Flash Platform

Powered by C3 is an initiative formed by the marketing and communications organisation, Select NY. I worked with Nice Agency to produce social networking applications with the aim to discover and nuture the development of unique content. ‘Content by C3′ is directed at individuals working in the creative industry, and ‘Highlights by C3′ is directed at hair stylists and technicians

Initial Stages

We held a series of workshops with the clients and potential users and conducted some research to get some understanding of the several domains we were looking to create the applications for. In this stage I worked on development of some user flows and persona development. With this information we worked with some of the key stakeholders to consolidate their initials ideas with our understanding to construct an initial design concept

From the development of the design concept and some set user stories, I worked on a set of wireframes that outlined the specifications of the interface and the different types of user interactions of certain elements

I also worked on some initial UI visual style and the production of assets for front-end flex development. During the development stages I also working with the developer at fine tuning the user interactions with the application

Nice worked in conjunction with the globally renowned DJ Pete Tong and Music Technology to develop a iWonder. iWonder is an application which intelligently analyses your personal music collection and makes recommendations using a mix of your music and a few choice recommendations from Pete Tong’s 20 year broadcast history, providing you with playlists. The experience is as if Pete created a personal playlist just for you using your own music and some of his classics.

Initial Stages

Initial research was conducted of similar applications for both mobile and desktop platforms. Several workshops were conducted to develop and understanding the needs of the users and other primary stakeholders. This research was also used to identify and develop a set of personas.

Following the presentation of an initial user experience concept to the client I created a set of process flows and wireframes to outline the specifications and interactions for the desktop experience.

Working with the technical architect to understand the limitations of the technologies the next stage was to look at streamlining the experience for mobile in the iOS and Android platforms.

An idea based trading platforme.

Morgan Stanley Matrix, has been known as one of the largest undertakings of a Rich Internet Application using the Adobe® Flash® Platform.

I was fortunate enough to be part of a small but talented User Experience (UX) team that helped define and produce a visually rich and engaging experience for this trading platform. This project allowed me not to work collaboratively with a highly skilled information architect but to also work individually to work through the user narrative when required.

This achievement in the RIA space was presented at Adobe Max in 2009 and also a nominee at 2009 MAX Awards in the area of Enterprise Productivity.

Due to the nature of Enterprise applications I am unable to display any screens of MS Matrix, but watch the video on the Adobe Max site to get an overall feel of the platform.
